Annette Lanning Kinderman

Annette Kinderman has wide-ranging litigation experience, with a practice focused on personal injury defense litigation and medical malpractice. She also defends workers' compensation claims and has handled a variety of other general negligence claims. Ms. Kinderman has obtained defense verdicts at trial for hospital clients in Jefferson County, Alabama, in medical malpractice, personal injury, and workers' compensation cases.

Ms. Kinderman is a member of the Birmingham, Alabama, and American Bar Associations. She is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyer’s Association and the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Kinderman graduated magna cum laude from Washington & Lee University School of Law where she was a member of the Order of Coif and an Editor of the Washington & Lee University Law Review. She graduated from Amherst College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Prior to joining Cabaniss Johnston, Ms. Kinderman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sam C. Pointer, Jr., Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

Ms. Kinderman was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and is an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
