George L. Morris IV
George Morris is an associate in the firm's Birmingham office. Mr. Morris's practice has concentrated in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury defense. He represents a wide range of clients, including both individual physicians and hospitals. Mr. Morris has relevant experience both as an attorney advising health care providers, and as a health care provider himself. Before he became licensed to practice law, Mr. Morris worked for JBS Mental Health Authority as a counselor for at risk children and their families, and prior to that as an adolescent counselor at the Mississippi State Hospital. In addition to his work in medical malpractice, Mr. Morris also has experience defending cases in numerous other areas, including breach of contract, products liability, and toxic tort claims.
Mr. Morris was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Morris is a magna cum laude graduate of Cumberland School of Law, where he was a Cordell Hull Fellow. He was also elected to the prestigious Curia Honoris following his graduation from Cumberland. In 1997, Mr. Morris received his undergraduate degree from Millsaps College, where he graduated cum laude with a degree in psychology. Mr. Morris is a member of the American and Birmingham Bar Associations, Defense Research Institute, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association.
