The firm is pleased to announce that Matthew M. Couch has joined the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2019. Matt joined the firm as an associate in 2012. Since that time he has become an experienced litigator in both state and federal court where he skillfully represents the firm’s clients in a wide array of litigation matters. While Matt has broad experience across many legal subject matters, his practice focuses on the transportation and freight industries. James F. Henry was interviewed in the article New Bill Advances Care for Adults with Complex Needs, published by the Birmingham Medical News on December 14, 2018. He was quoted as saying “The intent of the CHRONIC Care Act (CCA) is to better integrate care between Medicare and Medicaid. It’s a movement to make health care and health insurance plans more tailored to individual patient needs instead of population statistics. We have talked about patient-centered care for a long time, but this is a law that can move us in that direction.”

Cabaniss Johnston is pleased to announce that George L. Morris, IV has been selected as a Vice Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Affinity Group for the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA).
The AHLA is the nation’s largest, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to legal issues in the health care field with nearly 14,000 members.
George Morris is a partner in the firm’s Birmingham office. His practice has concentrated in the areas of health care law, medical malpractice, personal injury defense and business litigation. He represents a wide range of professionals, including both individual physicians and hospitals.
